Types of Matched Betting Offers
Matched Betting takes advantage of bookmaker offers and converts these bonus offers into withdrawable cash.
However, not all matched betting offers are the same. There are many types of online betting promotions with each promotion requiring different qualifying bets and as a result, a different strategy when placing our matched bets.
Some offers may require a specialized matched betting calculator or matched betting tools, whilst other promotions require us to place specific types of sports bets like parlays or each-way bets.
Let’s take a look at some of the main types of promotional offers that we can expect to profit from.
Bet and Get Offers
These are the simplest offers to complete and are great for matched betting newbies. As the name suggests by placing a qualifying bet of a certain amount such as $50 and we will get rewarded with a bonus bet or free bet of a similar value such as a $50 free bet.
These offers can sometimes be specific to certain betting markets or sports. Such as betting on an MLB team to win in the moneyline market and get a free bet or bonus bet every time the team scores a homerun.
Risk Free Bet Offers or Second Chance Bet Offers
These offers only give you a free bet or bonus bet if your qualifying bet loses. These offers have many names such as ‘Second Chance Bets’ or ‘No Sweat Bets’, the OG term was called a risk free bet (But some regulators were not happy with that term).
We can use a risk free bet calculator to guarantee a profit from these offers using the risk free bet strategy.
Deposit Match Betting Offer
A deposit match offer is when a sportsbook will match a qualifying deposit by a set percentage.
For example, 50% deposit match up to $250. This would mean if we deposited $500, the sportsbook would credit our account with $250 of bonus funds.
These funds will often have a rollover or wagering requirement such as 12 x the deposit amount. This means we will have to bet a total of (12 x $500) $6000 before we can withdraw the bonus funds.
Matched Betting Casino Offers
Although many people associate matched betting with a sportsbook that offers free bet promotions. Casino bonus offers can be extremely profitable.
These offers will either give us free slot machine spins, deposit match bonus or loss rebates.
These promotions often have bonus wagering requirements. Bonus wagering can vary by offer, some offers will require that a bonus must be wagered 35 times or more.
However, some offers will require as little as 1 x or 2 x bonus wagering
Casino bonuses are a whole topic in itself.
Existing Customer Offers / Reload Offers
Reload offers are offers for existing customers who have already signed up and completed the initial welcome offer. I have made almost 90% of my profits from existing customer offers!
These offers can range from a simple odds boost to parlay insurance offers or weekly bet clubs where we receive a bonus bet each week for meeting certain wagering requirements.
In addition sportsbooks may email or text you a bonus code or promo code with an exclusive reload offers.
Matched Betting Without Free Bets
Is it still possible to profit even if a sportsbook doesn’t offer free bets? Yes, there are a number of techniques we can use to profit without the need to rely on free bets or bonus bets.
This is great for sportsbook that don’t offer many promotions or for sportsbooks where we are promo restricted (Known as gubbed)
We can use betting strategies like middle betting or arbitrage betting to profit without needing matched betting offers.
