Note: This guide is focused on arbitrage betting in the USA
Step 1: Find an Arbitrage Betting Tool
How do we find an arbitrage bet? Well, there a number of different methods you can employ if you want to know how to find arbitrage bets.
However, we’re going to use the easiest method which is using an arbitrage betting tool to find these profitable bets for us.
We’re going to use OddsShopper’s free arbitrage betting tool.
Step 2: Set Your Wager Amount and Select Your State
For OddsShopper to calculate the optimal bet stake we first need to enter how much we want to bet between all bets.
In this example I have set the total wager amount to $100. This means I will bet exactly $100 in total. (You can set this amount higher or lower)
Next we want to set our state from the drop down menu at the top right of the ‘Wager’ box beside the Arbitrage Bet Finder Tool title.
Click the drop down and select you state from the menu.
Step 3: Find an Arbitrage Bet
Once you have selected you state and an amount you wish to wager. A list of arbitrage bets will be displayed on the tools. With the most profitable arbitrage bet combination displayed at the top of the tool.
If nothing is displayed it means there currently are no arbitrage bets available on your state. Check back in 10-20 minutes and there should be some available as odds change all the time!
In the above example highlighted in red. The best arbitrage bet is on an EPL game between Brentford and Burnley.
The betting market where the arbitrage opportunity is available in the Total Cards market and the overall profit we would make from a $100 wager is $3.19
Information about exactly what we need to bet on and at which sportsbook is displayed to the right hand side.
For the arbitrage bet in the example. We are betting on Over 5.5 Cards at odds of +280 on Fanduel with a bet stake of $27.16
Consequently, we’re betting on Under 5.5 Cards at odds of -240 on BetRivers with a bet stake of $72.84
Step 4: Place our Bets at each Sportsbook
Finally we just need to log into each sportbook, find the total cards markets for the Brentford Burnley match and place our bets with the bet stakes suggested by the betting tool.
Alternatively, we can round our bet stakes to whole number to stay under the radar of the sportsbook trading team.
For Example instead of betting $27.16 we can bet $27 or 25$ to look more like a casual sports bettor. We would do the same for the Under 5.5 card bet stake.
If you want to see how this affect the profit of each outcome winning you can do this using my arbitrage betting calculator.
